Modern troubadour. Singer/songwriter. Tries to let good songs (oldies an newies) live on forever.
When it comes to music, you can say that I'm a late bloomer.
Although I have been playing since I was little, I never actually had lessons or had guidance in music. I used to watch and listen as my brother played "The House of the Rising Sun" over and over again.
Then at the age of 37 I wanted to buy a new guitar.
And when a restaurant-owner offered me a job as a singer, I was able to buy it.
Because of that job I could afford a new guitar by playing it.
I was still a welder at that time.
But after a year I became a professional musician, playing wherever people wanted me to play. Mostly with the guitar and blues harp, and sometimes with a little help of my keyboard as a background instrument.
Being a musician makes for a pleasant living.
It is nice to share my music with people who like to listen to it.
And hopefully I will get invited to play at alot of parties!
My mom gave me my country and “rock and roll” roots, the world provided us with the sixties and seventies, and God gave us the songs of Bob Dylan. And playing the guitar and blues harp in that way inspired me.
And when another restaurant-owner bought a commercial I wrote for his restaurant, I was able to buy a “digital recording studio”.
At that time the fun of making my own recorded songs could begin!!
