I am a guitarplayer, guitarteacher, composer, singer, producer, didgeridooplayer and percussionplayer. Music is the uplifting spirit in my life.
When I was 6 years old I played electric guitar in the band of my brothers in Surinam. The name Boycke comes from that period. My father Andre is a guitarteacher in Paramaribo and he tought me how to play classical guitar and how to read music. In Holland I went to the conservatory of Rotterdam and finished the classical guitarstudy in 1986. I have always played, wrote and sang music. Today I'm working with Flower to the People. We have released 3 albums already and the fourth is coming up. My wife Fleur sings in our band as a professional singer. We like playing in the intimate atmosphere of the small concerthalls where we can have our magic moments with our audiences. Music to me is like fresh air and sunlight and as you know it's hard to do without these elements. The songs you can hear on this site are: "Will it go round?" A song questioning our relentless efforts of trying to reach people's hearts and minds with our music. The second song is "Hunger" about the time when we could still yearn and long for things and love. In our world today we have so much...too much and so we forgot to long for anything we forgot how it feels to be hungry. Bring back the hunger. The third song is called It doesn't matter. Telling about what really matters in life and that we should love oneanother then nothingelse matters. The fourth song is called Smile. Live your life with a smile and the sun will always shine for you. The last song is a ballad telling about the rush and the hurry in this society. If we keep on running like this it might bring us all down. So why not slow down a little
