Biography

My name is Tim Verhofstad, I am 19 years old and I live in Gemert, The Netherlands.

                                                                                                                                At the moment, I’m studying for 2 years now to be a Music Producer at the ‘Rockacademie Tilburg’. I learn a lot of new things there and I am learning how to improve my technical and musical skills. In addition, I follow lessons about the music business.

Songwriting is not only a great hobby of mine, I really want to be a professional composer, singer/songwriter and producer. That’s why I am going to do everything to achieve this goal!

Four years ago I began to make music with Nuendo, a program for producers and I still use it today. I use samples and VST’s and create a lot of music. First I made trance and dance tracks, but now I have started making pop, soul, funk and ballads. What I mostly do is writing songs, singing and producing tracks.

A few years ago I started singing in the band ‘B.O.B.’We play jazz, soul and pop, have had a lot of gigs and still play in clubs, pubs and at parties. I have also made some arrangements for this band. Last year, I was one of the backing vocalists in a James Brown tribute band. Now I am also the singer/songwriter of the soul/funk band KICKS and I play keys and sing in the jazzformation "The Groove Combination".
